This volume mainly hosts the proceedings of the FAPAB Research Center-hosted 2021 interdisciplinary congress Health, Medicine, and Socio-Cultural Aspects in the Late Middle Ages and through the Renaissance: New Research Perspectives.The meeting, back in 2021, proved a very successful one with several high-quality contributions covering multidisciplinary topics in bioarchaeology, palaeopathology, history of anatomy and the intersection of medicine and the arts, not forgetting the role played in many of the talks by the figure of the Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci.
