Founded in 1990, the Atlante tematico di Topografia antica has brought together the research of two hundred and ninety scholars from universities, superintendencies, research institutes, and both public and private or independent institutions. All contributions foster the advancement of topographical studies through the presentation of new data, critical discussions and re-evaluations, and the application of both traditional and innovative methodologies. Across its thirty published issues, the journal has focused on the structural, political, social, and economic dynamics inherent to the study of urban centers and territories. It has examined historical contexts alongside the complex phenomena underlying infrastructure development, monument construction, and environmental transformation.
