Caeretan cylinder-stamped braziers represent a distinctive category of Archaic Etruscan ceramic production, combining utilitarian functionality with intricate relief decoration. Manufactured primarily at Caere between the late seventh and sixth centuries BCE, these impasto vessels functioned as portable hearths utilized across funerary, domestic, and sacred contexts. Through an analytical approach to morphological typologies and stamp iconography, this work evaluates over three hundred braziers to reconstruct workshop practices and regional distribution patterns. Craftsmen carved negative matrices—likely utilizing hard or semi-precious stones—to roll continuous friezes onto soft, unfired clay. The decorative repertoire includes animal processions, Greek mythological cycles, hunting scenes, and aristocratic pastimes, reflecting Corinthian artistic influences alongside native iconographic developments. Regional imitations produced at peripheral sites like Tolfa, San Giovenale, and Veii demonstrate Caere's significant economic and cultural hegemony in Central Italy. Ultimately, this comprehensive catalog illuminates the central role of red-ware braziers within Etruscan material culture.
