The peer-reviewed journal VITRUVIUS. Rivista del Centro Studi Vitruviani publishes scholarly essays addressing every aspect of Marcus Vitruvius Pollio and his De Architectura, the sole surviving complete architectural treatise from antiquity. Established in 2010, the Centro Studi Vitruviani promotes the dissemination of classical culture and antiquity in all its manifestations, placing particular emphasis on Vitruvius's foundational ten-book work. Given the vast scope of subjects explored by the Roman architect, the journal embraces a multifaceted thematic range. Contributions examine the treatise itself, including its genesis, historical rediscovery, print editions, and enduring legacy over the centuries. Furthermore, the publication welcomes research across diverse Vitruvian disciplines, spanning archaeology, ancient, modern, and contemporary architecture, urban planning, music theory, hydraulics, gnomonics, and mechanics, thereby reflecting the broad intellectual footprint of the classic text.
