Nel bicentenario della morte del grande scultore veneto Antonio Canova, i Musei Civici di Padova hanno dato vita a diverse "Giornate canoviane". In quest'ambito una Giornata di studio è stata dedicata a fare il punto critico sulle attuali conoscenze relative alla personalità e all'arte di Canova in rapporto alla città di Padova, ma anche a proiettare questa conoscenza verso il futuro della conservazione, dello studio e della fruizione. Questa Giornata di studio è stata inserita nella programmazione delle attività del Comitato Nazionale per le Celebrazioni del bicentenario della morte di Antonio Canova. Antonio Canova and Padua Proceedings of the Study Day Padua, Eremitani Museum, November 24, 2022 To mark the bicentenary of the death of renowned sculptor from Veneto, Antonio Canova, the Civic Museums of Padua hosted a series of "Canovian Days" as part of the activities planned by the National Committee for the Celebrations of the Bicentenary of Antonio Canova's death. One of these events was a Study Day, which focused on assessing current knowledge on Canova's life and work, particularly in relation to the city of Padua. It also looked ahead, exploring how this knowledge can shape future efforts in conservation, research, and public engagement.
